Sevilla wedding photographer
A courtyard dinner, your families meeting for the first time, and a city you’re excited to share with everyone. Your wedding in Seville deserves photographs that remember the people as clearly as the place.
I’m Alejandro Cebrián. I create natural wedding stories with an editorial eye, gentle direction for portraits, and plenty of attention to the moments happening around you.
A city celebration or a countryside wedding?
That’s the first question I’d ask before suggesting a photography plan. A wedding in central Seville and a celebration at a hacienda outside the city can have completely different rhythms. The photographs should fit the day you want, including the time you spend with the people who have traveled to be there.
Stay in the city
If you’re getting ready and celebrating in Seville, we can look at what’s within a comfortable walk or a short, planned transfer. A courtyard, an interior with beautiful window light, and a nearby street may give us all the variety we need. There’s no need to spend cocktail hour crossing the city.
Make the hacienda your setting
For a wedding outside Seville, I’d start with the property itself: where you’ll prepare, where the ceremony takes place, and which spaces will be available afterward. We can leave the city portraits for another day and enjoy the atmosphere of the celebration you’ve chosen.
I’m Alejandro, and I’d love to hear your plans
I’ve photographed more than 300 weddings since 2015, and the conversations before the day are a part of the work I really enjoy. Tell me who’s coming, which traditions you’re bringing together, and what you’re most excited about. Those details help me understand where to put my attention.
I’m based in Barcelona and available to travel to Seville. We can plan your photography in English, Spanish, or Catalan, with video calls that work around your time zone. Before you book, I’ll explain the coverage, team, delivery, and travel arrangements clearly, so you know how it will all come together.
The photographs matter. So does how you feel making them.
You might love photographs but feel a little uncertain about being in them. That’s completely fine. During portraits, I’ll help you find a comfortable position, work with the light, and give you something simple to do rather than leave you wondering where to put your hands.
During the ceremony, dinner, and party, my attention shifts to what’s already happening. A parent watching from the second row, a friend arriving late to a group hug, the look between you during a speech. I want the gallery to bring back more of the day than you could take in at the time.
Places to consider for wedding portraits in Seville
These are starting points for a conversation, not a list of places to fit into one afternoon. I’d choose a small area based on where you’re staying, the season, and whether this is a wedding-day portrait session or a separate outing. We’ll check current access and any permissions before confirming a location.
Plaza de España
If you’re drawn to scale, patterned tiles, and architecture, this is an obvious place to discuss. I’d keep the route short and consider the light before choosing a time. A separate morning session can be easier to plan than leaving a wedding reception to reach a busy public square.
Parque de María Luisa
The park gives us a different possibility close to Plaza de España: greenery, paths, and a softer setting around the architecture. Rather than try to cover both extensively, we can choose a small section that feels right. We’ll check opening conditions and how comfortable the walk will be.
Santa Cruz
For couples who prefer a more intimate setting, I’d look at a short route through the neighborhood’s narrower streets and small squares. Light changes quickly between open areas and shaded passages. We’ll be considerate of residents and visitors and choose somewhere we can stop without obstructing the street.
Triana & the riverfront
If you like a sense of everyday city life, we can discuss the riverfront and the streets around Triana. I’d choose the exact viewpoint according to the time and your connection to the neighborhood. A riverside portrait and a quieter street can feel very different without requiring a long itinerary.
Your hotel courtyard
A beautiful location doesn’t have to mean a public landmark. If your hotel or venue has a courtyard you love, we can ask about access and choose a time when it works for photography. Having somewhere private and close can make the session feel much more relaxed.
A hacienda near Seville
If the countryside is part of what brought you here, I’d give it time in the photographs. We can use a courtyard, a shaded wall, or a garden on the property, with the owner’s agreement. The best option may be the place where you’re already spending the day.
For a closer look at the city, the official tourism pages on Santa Cruz and Triana can help you decide which atmosphere appeals to you. If you’re interested in the Real Alcázar, we would consult the official site about arrangements before making a photography plan; a visitor ticket should not be treated as confirmation of a private portrait session.
Wedding venues in Seville and the surrounding province
I’d compare venues by the experience you want as much as by the photographs you’ve seen online. Where will your guests stay? Can you get ready on site? What does the indoor alternative look like? These three settings illustrate different ways to approach a destination wedding in the area.
Hotel Alfonso XIII · Seville city
For a city wedding with a classic hotel setting, Hotel Alfonso XIII has dedicated wedding spaces, including its courtyard and interior rooms. I’d review the areas in your booking and the timing of each event before deciding where portraits belong. See the hotel’s official wedding information.
Hacienda Los Ángeles · Alcalá de Guadaíra
This is a hacienda option outside the city, in Alcalá de Guadaíra. I’d plan it around the property and allow properly for any travel from your getting-ready location. During a visit, ask to see the spaces at a similar time to your ceremony. Explore Hacienda Los Ángeles.
Hacienda de San Rafael · Las Cabezas de San Juan
A countryside venue in the province, rather than central Seville. Its wedding offering includes garden settings and accommodation, which makes it worth discussing if you want to bring the celebration and your stay together. Confirm the rooms and spaces available for your dates. Explore the hacienda’s wedding information.
There are more options in my guide to six wedding haciendas in Seville, available in Spanish. If your place is already booked, send me its name and the layout you’re considering. We can build the photography plan around your particular celebration.
Let’s plan around the light and the heat
In Seville, a late sunset doesn’t automatically mean you’ll want to stand outdoors throughout the afternoon. I’d review shade at the ceremony, the walk to the portrait location, and where everyone will gather afterward. A thoughtful schedule helps you enjoy the setting without making the photographs hard work.
For a summer wedding
Look at the actual position of the sun where you’ll be standing, rather than the view alone. We can make use of shade or interiors and consider a short portrait session later. Your planner and venue can help us understand which parts of the schedule are flexible.
For a cooler-season wedding
We’ll look closely at the daylight after the ceremony. If you’re planning a late start, we can discuss portraits beforehand, a first look, or using an interior you love. The right choice depends on the moments you want to experience together.
Seville by month: temperature, sunrise, and sunset
Use this table to start a conversation about the timing of your wedding. The temperatures are historical averages, not the conditions promised for your date. In particular, a summer day may be hotter than its monthly average, and the room or courtyard you choose will have its own conditions.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| January | 6°C / 42°F | 16°C / 61°F | 8:37 AM | 6:29 PM |

Temperature data: AEMET, Sevilla Aeropuerto, 1981–2010 normal values for average daily minima and maxima, rounded and converted to °F. Sunrise and sunset: calculated for the 15th of each month in 2027 at 37.389° N, 5.984° W, using local time and the applicable daylight saving time. The calculation assumes a theoretical clear horizon; buildings can block direct sunlight earlier.
Think beyond the sunset time
A courtyard may be in shade long before sunset, while an open garden can remain exposed much later. I’ll look at your actual setting before suggesting when to step out for portraits.
Keep the plan flexible
We can agree on a main portrait window and a nearby alternative. Closer to the wedding, we’ll review the forecast with your venue or planner and make any practical adjustments.
Get a feel for my work before we talk
Explore two weddings photographed in Catalonia to get a sense of how I tell a complete story. Look at the preparations, the portraits, and the reactions during the ceremony, then follow the change of atmosphere into dinner and the party. It’s a good way to see whether my approach feels right for your own celebration.
La Baronia
A wedding story with historic architecture, quiet moments, and a celebration that builds into the evening. A useful way to see the balance between portraits and the moments around them.
La Roureda
A garden celebration with family, friends, and room for the atmosphere of the party. Explore another example of my approach to photographing a complete wedding day.
The wedding can begin before the wedding day
A welcome dinner can be the evening when your friends finally meet your family, everyone finds their place, and the nerves start to settle. If you’re bringing people to Seville from different countries, that first gathering may be an important part of the memory.
We can discuss photography for a welcome event, rehearsal dinner, or another part of the weekend. A separate couple session is also an option if you want time in the city without leaving your guests on the wedding day. We’ll choose the coverage around the events you care about, rather than fill every day with appointments.
A clear process when you’re planning from overseas
First, we talk
Tell me the date, venue, guest count, and the events you’d like photographed. We can arrange a video call in English to discuss the atmosphere you’re planning and the people who matter most. You don’t need to have the full schedule finished.
Then, we make the proposal specific
You’ll be able to review the coverage, team, optional film or video, delivery details, and travel arrangements. I’ll set out the total fee in euros, including VAT and the agreed travel costs. Ask anything you need before deciding.
Before the day, we join the details up
We’ll review the getting-ready addresses, ceremony time, family photo list, and portrait windows. If you have a planner, I’ll coordinate the photography with their schedule. We can also discuss traditions, speeches, and moments that may need a little extra preparation.
If your wedding falls around a major city celebration, share that information when we discuss the plan. We’ll check the practical arrangements with your planner or venue instead of assuming that the usual walking route or transfer will work the same way.
A few things I’d keep simple on the wedding day
A short portrait session
As a starting point, we can set aside around 15–20 minutes after the ceremony, somewhere close. If the evening light adds something different, another 5–10 minutes can work. The aim is to make photographs you love while keeping you part of the celebration.
A family list that means something
Choose the combinations you really want and nominate someone who knows the family to help gather everyone. I often suggest family photographs near the end of cocktail hour. We’ll adapt that for older relatives or anyone who needs a quieter moment.
One realistic route
A central hotel and a countryside hacienda need different plans. We’ll allow for getting to the car, the drive, and arriving at the venue. If a city portrait session would take too much time away from your guests, we can arrange it on a different day.
Photography, analog film, and wedding video
Digital photography is the starting point for your wedding story. If you’re drawn to the color and texture of analog film, we can add it alongside the digital photographs. I’ll show you examples and explain how it would fit into the coverage.
We can also prepare a coordinated photography and video proposal. Vows, speeches, and the voices of your family can bring another dimension to the memory. You’ll know which professionals are included and what you’ll receive before making the booking.
Questions about your wedding photography in Seville
Sevilla or Seville: are we talking about the same place?
Yes. Sevilla is the Spanish name, and Seville is the usual English name. Whether you’re planning a celebration in the city or elsewhere in the province, send me the exact venue so we can make the photography plan specific.
Where are you based, and how does travel work?
I’m based in Barcelona and available to travel to Seville. Your proposal will include the agreed travel arrangements and any accommodation required, alongside the photography coverage and team. We can plan the details together by email and video call before you travel.
Can we communicate and plan in English?
Yes. I speak English, Spanish, and Catalan. We can discuss your wedding and review the photography plans in English, including on video calls before you travel. Let me know your time zone when we arrange a call.
What does wedding photography in Seville cost?
The quote depends on the coverage, team, dates, and events you’d like photographed, plus any film or video. Send me those details and I’ll prepare a proposal in euros, with the services, VAT, and any travel costs clearly explained.
How do we plan portraits for a hot-weather wedding?
We’ll consider shade, nearby interiors, and the time you’ll spend walking between locations. A brief session close to the venue and a later opportunity for evening light may suit your day. We’ll review the real conditions before the wedding rather than rely on monthly averages alone.
Can we have an engagement or after-wedding session in Seville?
Yes, subject to availability. We can choose a small area, review access and any permissions, and plan a separate session around the light. It can give you more freedom to enjoy the city than adding a long route to the wedding day.
Can we take portraits inside the Real Alcázar?
We would need to confirm the current arrangements directly with the venue before agreeing to a session. Availability, authorization, and any conditions must be checked. I wouldn’t treat general visitor admission as confirmation that a wedding or private portrait session is allowed.
How much coverage do we need?
Around ten hours is a common starting point for a full wedding day, but the right coverage depends on your schedule. A short ceremony and dinner may need less; a welcome event and wedding may need coverage across more than one day. We’ll work through that together.
Can you work with our planner and include a second photographer?
Yes. I can coordinate the photography timeline with your planner and recommend a team based on the getting-ready locations, guest count, and moments happening at the same time. A second photographer can add perspectives when the plan calls for them.
How will we receive the photographs?
Your edited photographs will be delivered through an online gallery. The proposal will explain the included delivery, timeframe, gallery access, and any additional products. You’ll be able to share the gallery with family and friends after you return home.
Where were the portfolio images photographed?
The wedding photographs shown here are from La Baronia and La Roureda in Catalonia. You can open the linked galleries to explore those wedding stories in more detail and see how I approach everything from the preparations to the party.
How do we reserve you for our wedding?
Write with your date and venue, or the places you’re still considering. I’ll check availability, we’ll talk through the coverage, and you’ll receive a proposal. The date is reserved once the agreed contract and reservation payment are completed.
